Time Machine® Update for IBM AIX 7.2
SANTA CLARA, CA., June 25, 2018— SolutionSoft Systems Inc. announces Floating License Server support from Time Machine on AIX 7.2
Time Machine for AIX 7.1 and 7.2, the latest versions of IBM's UNIX operating system for the POWER7 and newer microprocessors, has been made available for general release. As is the case with other versions of Time Machine, this version fully supports the Time Machine Suite of Products and comes bundled with the Time Machine Agent and the Time Machine Management Console.
This release now supports the floating license server, where Time Machine can automatically check out licenses from the floating license server when the Time Machine service starts and release licenses when the service stops. With the floating license server, the pool of license units can now be shared and float to any systems in the enterprise or Cloud automatically across Operating System platforms of Windows, Linux, and AIX.
This release also supports the -r rewind option, where days can rewind back to the same day when the hour: minute hits midnight.
