New Release: Time Machine® Sync Server Enhancement Enables True Test Automation

Time Machine Sync Server Enhancement
Solution-Soft has announced the general release of the Time Machine Sync Server (TMSS) enhancement of URL API to create, update, and delete sync groups on-the-fly. As it turns out, this is critical to enable Agile CI/CD for parallel testing in the Cloud.
The Time Machine Sync Server enables users to broadcast virtual clocks targeting multiple systems to time travel together. Another key benefit of TMSS is it provides a URL API for test automation to integrate with test scripts or test automation orchestration tools which facilitate true test automation.
With Agile CI/CD, a source code submittal into a source code control system can automatically trigger a new release to be built, a new test environment to be provisioned, a new release loaded to run regression tests, send out test results, and deprovision the test environment. This can be achieved today via SolutionSoft Time Machine Sync Server API and Time Machine Floating License Server (TMFLS).
With TMSS API, brand new created test environments can be updated into the newly created sync group, a virtual clock can be set with the sync group to broadcast the virtual clock to the whole test environment, and multiple virtual clocks can be set to test different test cases with different virtual dates.
Finally upon regression test completion, the sync group can be disabled and deleted and the whole test environment deprovisioned and destroyed. With TMSS API to create new sync groups each time, the same test script can be run in parallel without issue. As each regression test can run many hours or days, it is quite possible that some other developers may submit other code changes into the source control system and trigger another run of regression tests of yet another new release in parallel.
TMFLS also completes the 100% test automation of Agile CI/CD as it enables dynamically created and provisioned systems to get Time Machine licenses automatically. Otherwise calling tech support for a new license key each time a new system is provisioned would certainly break the test automation cycle.
