HOTSCOPE integrates and supports direct gdzip/mezip viewing
SANTA CLARA, Calif., June 4, 2007 -- SolutionSoft Systems Inc, a top provider of Intelligent Data Optimization (IDO) solutions is pleased to announce the integration of Solution-Soft's GDSII and MEBES compressor (gdzip/mezip) Dynamic Link Library (DLL) into HOTSCOPE viewer from Jedat, Inc., a leader in the fields of full-custom design, DFM, and mask verification.
HOTSCOPE is an excellent Data Browser for viewing huge size mask data of a Giga-byte or more and has the capability to view them quickly and precisely at any viewing magnification. It is capable of handling files which are larger than 2 Giga-bytes. HOTSCOPE is able to read various types of format data including image data from SEM or other manufacturing equipment, and display different format pattern data or Jobdec overlapped with each other on a same window. A user can easily check mask data and original layout GDSII data, other mask data or inspection data in other formats simultaneously.
Solution-Soft's compressors compress GDSII and MEBES data on average 3 to 10 time smaller than what gzip can do. They are widely utilized by design house, mask shop and foundry customers to gain transfer, storage and operational efficiency. All major foundries, such as TSMC, UMC, and Chartered Semi encourage their world-wide tape-out customers to tape out with the compressor format.
The DLL integration enables users to view gdzip and mezip compressed file directly and leave them compressed on disks. It simplifies process flow as standalone decompression step is no longer necessary. It also speeds up file loading time as order of magnitude disk I/O and network bandwidth are saved. Since design files can be keep in compressed format on disks; it also saves online and offline storage costs and speeds up backup.
"Many of our mutual customers have requested the integration of HOTSCOPE and the gdzip & mezip compressors. We are very pleased to deliver this integration solution for our customers." said Paul Wang, President of Solution-Soft.
