Solution-Soft announces planned support of SafeCapacity™ and Time Machine™ releases for Windows .NET Server 2003 platform
SANTA CLARA, CALIF, January 14, 2003 — SolutionSoft Systems, Inc. (Solution-Soft), a global leader in virtual clock and time travel testing solutions today announced pending releases of both SafeCapacity, automated capacity management software and Time Machine, date simulation software which allows applications to run under a simulated date, time, or time zone regardless of server settings for Windows .NET Server 2003 platform.
SafeCapacity for Windows uses a GUI created, policy-based configuration to continuously monitor a server’s file systems, seamlessly allocating more storage space whenever needed. Additionally, SafeCapacity decreases the need to over-provision storage resources on individual systems, thus reducing storage related costs. As opposed to management by crisis, SafeCapacity automatically notifies system administrators when problems occur, and, based on pre-set rules, takes corrective action immediately to increase the amount of allocated storage. By automating capacity management, enterprises can greatly reduce total storage system ownership costs, thereby maximizing the return on investment.
Time Machine facilitates any type of time or date-sensitive development, testing, and training that would otherwise require altering the computer’s system clock. Additionally with Time Machine, Windows servers can now provide remote clients/users with "local time" as required for legal, accounting, and other sensitive and/or critical time and date applications: Terminal Server applications and databases run in user time, rather than system time.

SafeCapacity is currently available for Windows Server (2000, XP and 2003), Unix (Solaris, HP-UX and AIX), Linux (Redhat 7.x) and MPE (HP-3000).
Time Machine is available for Windows Server (NT, 2000, XP and 2003), Unix (Solaris, HP-UX and AIX), and MPE (HP-3000).
