Solution-Soft Becomes a Charter Member of the Citrix Business Alliance

(San Jose, CA) --- July 12, 2000 --- Today Solution-Soft, a leading provider of appliance applications for system and storage management, announced it has become a charter member of the Citrix Systems, Inc. (Nasdaq: CTXS) Citrix Business AllianceTM (CBA). As a CBA member, Solution-Soft will work with Citrix to ensure compatibility of its Time MachineTM time and date simulation software with application server computing environments.

Solution-Soft President and CEO Paul Wang said, “I look forward to our increased involvement with the CBA and am excited that Time Machine provides a smart business solution for so many Citrix clients.”

“The addition of Solution-Soft to the CBA strengthens our strategy of offering customers the widest possible array of technologies that support an application server computing environment,” added Garry Olah, Director, Partner and Developer Relations for Citrix Systems.

Solution-Soft’s Time Machine allows users to run applications in any time zone by simulating a different date and/or time. Time Machine provides the only solution for user-based time correction for Windows NT/2000 Terminal Servers, UNIX and MPE environments. Currently, Windows NT®/2000 Terminal Servers only provide one time to all applications and processes. Historically, users have been standardizing servers on Greenwich Mean Time, requiring users or programs to calculate “real” time from GMT. Time Machine alleviates this obstacle by running a “virtual clock.” For most companies, the only solution is to add more servers for each time zone. This is both expensive and time consuming.

Time Machine provides multi-time zone settings in the Windows NT® environment. Clients such as email programs, scheduling software, and server processes often need to see their local time while logged into a remote server in another time zone or a variety of problems will occur. Time Machine allows 20,000 users or groups to log on using a virtual clock, extending the versatility for users of Microsoft® Terminal Server and/or Citrix® MetaFrameTM.
